A helicopter soaring over a popular southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as spectators observed.

Videos shared on social media capture the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging near the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a staircase near the coastal road.

First Aid Details

Emergency responders said five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on that day.

Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
