Charli XCX Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Satirical Film First Look

The celebrated musician is gearing up for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, the artist embodies what she refers to as a hell version of her own persona.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the star remarked.

She elaborated in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea stemmed from the demand to create one.

An Early Look into The Project

The initial preview, unveiled on recently, combines real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized off-stage interactions.

The Moment is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who revealed that the narrative focuses on a reality where Charli made entirely different choices during the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

A Busy Acting Schedule

The film is a single one of many future movie projects for Charli, who recently featured in three festival films recently.

She recently joined to appear in the star’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

February will also include the debut of the filmmaker’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from Charli.

Additionally, she will provide music for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release next year.

The Moment will be released on the 30th of January.
